What cleats does my child need, can he or she use soccer cleats?

The short answer is yes, you can use soccer cleats for Baseball, but you cannot use Baseball cleats for soccer. The main difference between baseball and soccer cleats is the extra spike on the toe of baseball cleats. In baseball, there is an extra stud on the toe of the cleats. In soccer, the toe is round and smooth with no cleat. Refs usually check the cleats of players before a soccer match to make sure they don't have that center spike. Moreover, soccer cleats usually have rubber spikes, and baseball cleats are metal. However, this difference is evident only at higher levels of play.
